The Difference Between Strategy and Tactics

"Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat." - Sun Tzu

What are the fundamental differences between strategy and tactics? Even the savviest on-line and off-line entrepreneurs frequently confuse the two.

Strategy

Tactics are the day-to-day activities that are repeatable in your business and relatively clear-cut. Like blocking and tackling in football, they comprise the basic components of the jobs and the daily activities of any organization - or any business - no matter the size.

The Difference Between Strategy and Tactics

They are such things as SEO Campaigns, writing an article, creating a website, making a sales call, or perhaps joining an on-line community such as StomperNet, or Rich Schefren's Business Growth System. Tactics are specifically created and selected to reach particular and measurable objectives.

Tactics are the actual ways in which the strategies are executed. They may also include such things as newsletters, press releases, teleseminars, blogs, advertising, websites, and any other tool that your target markets are usually exposed to.

Tactics are easy to copy. If one company observes innovations in another company's products, for example, the observing company can easily duplicate what it has seen, or develop something comparable if straight duplication is not possible. As soon as the process or product is copied, the competitive advantage of the innovation recedes or disappears.

If you are not careful, tactics may end up being simply quick fixes that can bring short term gain, but they will not lead to long-term success unless rigorously applied; and they must be part of an overall plan for success. Therefore, it is critical to look at each tactic from the standpoint of what it will do to achieve your overall strategy.

Most businesses today tend to be tactically focused. You work diligently every day in your office, doing task after task, but most often without a strategic focus.
Being mainly tactically focused will result in a lot of ups and downs in your business, and very likely a long, slow (or very fast) decline in the value of your business.

Strategy, on the other hand, is perspective, that is, your Future Picture and direction. Strategy involves the "big picture" - the overall plan, and how those plans will achieve your goals and objectives. It involves deciding who the important stakeholders are, and which of them will be the recipients of your messages (i.e., "target audiences"), or the targets of your activities.
Your strategy is the framework, your compass that you will use to make decisions that will benefit the future outcome of your business. Strategy is the set of directions you make to enhance your situation and position within your overall market.

Without a well thought out strategy, your business is merely like a person wandering around uselessly in the dark. There is neither a planned direction of where to go in the future, nor which methods to use to get there. Tactics and strategy are always relative to one another, and together they bridge the gap between ends and means.

To succeed in your business environment, it is vital to plan a strategy that connects your activities to your overall plans. If you have a solid understanding of where you want to be at some defined point in the future, it becomes a relatively simple exercise to create a set of activities to get you there. If you know where you are going, there will be a way to get there - always.

Recognize that there is a difference between strategy and tactics, and do not confuse the two. The company that clearly understands that difference is the business that will be the most successful, the most durable - and the most profitable.

Negotiation Strategy Vs Tactics

I have spent over twenty-five years now studying, practicing, and teaching martial arts. This includes time spent in the United States Army and living in Japan and Korea studying martial arts there. Two important concepts that I have studied, taught, and written about in a martial or military format are equally important when teaching negotiation. These concepts are strategy and tactics. Sometimes I see people mistakenly using one term when they actually mean the other. In this short article, I want to describe the differences between strategy and tactics as well as illustrate the relationship between the two.

Strategy

Strategy

Strategy is the overall, big picture, plan, which includes goals or desired outcomes. In the military, strategy is the utilization, during both peace and war, or all of a nation's forces, through large-scale, long-range planning and development, to ensure security or victory. Another definition would be a plan, method, or series of maneuvers or stratagems for obtaining a specific goal or result. A well known strategy used by the Allies in WWII was that of strategic bombing in Europe. The Army Air Corps' strategic bombing doctrine was based on the theory that a bombing force could pound the adversary until its industrial base was destroyed, and with it, its ability and will to wage war. While this example helps illustrate the concept of strategy, it is unfortunate that many of us have probably encountered negotiators that worked from a very similar strategic doctrine.

Negotiation Strategy Vs Tactics

Strategic negotiation is simply the act of devising and carrying out a well thought out plan to achieve your desired outcomes. Often, it is your plan to convince another party to give you something that you want and on your terms. The first thing you must determine when developing a negotiation strategy is what do you really want? What is the purpose of the negotiation? Do you want to purchase a house or commercial building? Do you want a raise in your salary? Do you want to settle a matter that is being litigated? Once you know what you want, and have devised a strategy, you can implement the tactics that will help you achieve your desired outcome.

When one is developing strategy, it is often easier to break your planning into phases. Here is a simple model used with martial arts and warfare that you will notice fits with negotiating equally well:

1. Identify your strategic objectives
2. Collect intelligence
3. Plan for environment
4. Program for engagement

Tactics

Tactics are simply the means by which you carry out your strategy. In the military tactics deals with the use and deployment of troops in actual combat, more specifically, it is the military science that deals with securing objectives set by strategy, especially the technique of deploying and directing troops, ships, and aircraft in effective maneuvers against an enemy. In our example above with the Army Air Corps, the tight formations employed by the bombers to make the best use of the bombers' heavy armament and prevent German fighters from singling out and swarming on lone planes is an example of a tactic used to help carry out the strategy. Another tactic was the employment of high altitude bombing when low level bombing proved to vulnerable to anti-aircraft fire.

One must be very careful not to focus upon activity, means, or tactics at the expense of accomplishment, achieving goals, or desired outcomes. Above all else, obtaining one's objectives in negotiations should be paramount. Of course, the tactics, activities or means we use should always be appropriate and ethical, but we must remember they are merely the ways to attain desired outcomes. Examples of negotiation tactics include things such as:

1. Giving ultimatums
2. Nibbling
3. Shocked or surprised looks
4. Good cop/Bad cop
5. Walk away

There are many tactics people use while negotiating. There is nothing wrong with using certain tactics to carry out your strategy and obtain your objectives. It is not necessarily unethical, deceptive, or unscrupulous to use negotiating tactics, even though some may want you to believe this. Yes, some tactics may be unethical, and as I stated above, we should always be appropriate and ethical, but there is nothing wrong with being competitive.

No, I have not forgotten the Principled Negotiation strategy taught by Fisher and Ury in "Getting To Yes." However, I also realize that sometimes we will be in competitive negotiations, and knowing various tactics can give us the edge. As an attorney, I realize some clients hire an attorney to be their pit bull, and while win-win might be the ideal, some of these clients only care about a win in their column. Practically speaking, we attorneys must deliver for our clients if we want to stay in business. In other fields of business, you run across competitive barganing as well, and knowing tactics may be quite beneficial. Additionally, knowing various negotiation tactics, and the counterattacks, prepare us for when others use them against us.

Conclusion

Strategy and tactics are concepts as old as conflict itself. By understanding the differences and relationships between the two, the successful negotiator can better plan and implement the strategies and tactics to reach specific desired outcomes. There is a reason so many successful business people study the ancient military classics such as "The Art of War" and "The Book of Five Rings." There is a reason why so many successful business people play strategic military games such as Go and Chess. The lessons learned from military sources, especially strategy and tactics, can easily be adapted to help us be better business people, better litigators, and better negotiators.

Tactics to File an Answer to the Mortgage Company's Foreclosure Lawsuit Complaint

When homeowners receive a bank's foreclosure complaint in the mail, they are usually given from fourteen days to a month to file an answer with the court. While the circumstances of the situation should determine how exactly the owners will respond to the lawsuit, there are a number of different options they may consider when fighting back against their lender's attempt to auction the house.

In most cases, though, the first thing homeowners may wish to do is consult with a local attorney to make sure that they are accurately following all of the local and state Rules of Procedure. It may be as good an idea to read the rules on their own and begin to formulate their answer to the complaint based on them. If the rules of procedure are not followed to the letter, there is a good chance the bank's lawyers will attempt to have the answer discounted or thrown out altogether.

Tactics

The bank, in its original complaint, must lay out a number of issues and prove certain elements of its case to the court. For example, the bank must show that it has a legally binding contract with the homeowners, that the bank performed its end of the contract as agreed, the homeowners breached the contract, and that because of this breach the bank has suffered actual damages. If the bank fails to make its case on any one of these points, it may not be able to prove it is entitled to foreclosure of the house.

Recently, one defense against a certain element of the bank's case has becoming increasingly popular. Since the bank must prove that it has a contract between itself and the homeowners, some borrowers have used this to challenge the lender's ownership of the mortgage loan. If the lender can not show that it owns the loan, there exists no contract between the two parties, and the bank can not sue for foreclosure. The fact that many prime and subprime mortgages were packed up and sold off in slices and never had individual owners assigned to them from the huge pool of investors means that many mortgage are floating around with no real party to the contract who is due the monthly payments and has standing to sue the owners.

Rules of procedure also apply to the mortgage company and its attorneys when attempting to sue homeowners. If the borrowers can show blatant disregard or breaking of certain rules, the court may have no choice but to throw the case out of court for the time being. The bank may be able to start over from square one and bring the suit back into court, but at least the attorneys will be a little more careful next time and the homeowners will have bought more time to find a longer-term solution to foreclosure.

Certain jurisdictional issues may also come up, if the owners do not believe that the court in which the bank brought its lawsuit has the power to compel them to answer the complaint. In fact, it may be very difficult for any plaintiff to prove that the court has jurisdiction over the defendant, for the simple fact that the entire issue is based more on legal opinions than concrete facts. Proving jurisdiction factually, if the owners really want to stick the issue, may create problems for the lender's attorneys.

Of course, no legal defense may be good enough in the presence of a corrupt judge who railroads every homeowner through the system and throws out objections on any grounds possible. County courts, through the filing fees paid by lenders seeking foreclosure judgments, have a financial incentive to keep their clients, the banks, happy and get in and out as many cases as the court can reasonably handle, regardless of the economic health of the area's homeownership community. In such cases, homeowners should make their case but also know when to appeal bad decisions and when to give up and simply move on.

For borrowers who really want to stop foreclosure any way possible, answering the foreclosure complaint is a virtual necessity. Even if it just drags on the process for a few extra months, the additional time may present a final solution to the mortgage. But homeowners can also make a strong case in the courts and may have a good chance of having the bank's lawsuit thrown out for now. There are various ways to go about filing an answer, and borrowers should consult their county and states rules of procedure, but the widespread corruption and deception in the mortgage markets over the past years may make it somewhat easier to shoot down a bank's arguments.

Senko Worm Tactics

Gary Yamamoto really broke the mold when he invented the Senko Worm. It is brilliant bait and it is widely used. But are we using the Senko to its fullest ability?

There are fundamental tactics that, to me, are key when fishing the Senko Worm. Oh yes, there are many proven ways to fish the Worm, like 'dead sticking' or 'wacky worming' to name a few. All will work in fooling old Bucket and Smallmouth, but consider what a smaller hook and finessing the Senko worm can accomplish! I personally think that's what it was meant to do. It works so well because it mesmerizes the Bass into submission with its unique patented action on its own, there is no need for jerking the rod to give it life. All the Senko Worm needs is for you to strategically place it out there and watch it work!

Tactics

I rig my Senko Worm Texas with a 3/0 Owner wide gap 'rigging' hook with the point imbedded into the Worm. I think that "fussy" Bass will take their first bite and feel what they think is 'fresh meat', not steel and the next 'chomp' is the stinger! When they aren't fussy though, the 3/0 Owner will hook them just the same. It has been proven over and over in my endeavors. The other advantage to a smaller hook is longer fall time, which is essential to Bass wanting to engulf the Senko Worm. The alluring fall of the Senko is what attracts the Bass's attention. This is where Senko Worm tactics or the ABC's, if you will, come in to play.

In order for the Senko to do its thing it requires slack line. That is the most important part of its ability to fool Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass. When casting the Senko worm, I try to cast it over hand, giving it an arch shape of line so that when it hits the water it automatically has the slack it needs for the fall. If I am not able to cast over hand then I give it ample line as soon as it meets the water surface. By using Power Pro braided line with this combo one only has to watch their line for detection of Bass. When they take the bait, reel in the slack and set the hook hard!

When rigged this way your Senko Worm should fall slowly and move slightly front to back while quivering! I have taken the time to try many hook sizes and line combinations and I have found through trial and error that Owner 3/0 wide gap hook + Power Pro + Senko Worm = Bass! "Mr. Yamamoto, you are a genius"!

Fishing For Carp Using Method Feeder Tactics

It surprises me just how many carp anglers don't use the method more often when fishing for carp. Maybe it's the thought that the method is associated with catching only the smaller fish, rather than the bigger carp. In fact, method fishing tactics can produce some huge carp in the right situations, and when using good method fishing tactics to outwit the biggest fish in the lake. I often use the method for many of my fishing sessions. If I have 3 rods out, I will commonly have at least one on the method as I fish for carp.

I find that a good method mix will give off huge amounts of attraction but without the problem of over-feeding the carp in the swim. When using heavy particles or boilies, it can be hard to determine how much bait to put out without overdoing it and feeding the carp. The method helps to keep the carp in the swim for longer periods. I want the carp to be attracted into the swim, but still be hungry enough to try grabbing a mouthful of my hook bait every time I cast in. If they're full up on heavy boilies they'll be more inclined to move on.

Tactics

Method Angling Tactics

There are a few fishing tactics I try when using the method to catch carp. When I have chosen my swim, I always like to start off by catapulting out 5-10 small method balls before I even get the rods out or the bivvy up. This will give the method mix a chance to start attracting the fish into the area, and search around for food items without any end tackle in the swim. I think carp will relax and feed more readily if they can freely mooch and bash the method balls around without finding any rigs or end tackle inside them. This tactic often gets the fish in a feeding frenzy and ready to pounce on a hook bait as soon as it enters the water.

Once they have had an hour or so of free method balls to play with, I like to place out a method rig with a hook bait on the outskirts of where the main balls have been placed. If carp have been feeding in a certain area, I don't want to spoil it by splashing a huge method ball on top of them. I much prefer to let them come to the bait so they'll be less suspicious when they approach it. They will treat it like all the other "rig free" balls they've encountered over the last hour.

Another tactic I often use is to place a rigged method ball out discretely when the fish are not around. To do this I simply fire out a few 18mm boilies seconds before casting the method out. This helps to move any fish away just for a moment before the big method ball hits the water. The boilies often move them because they haven't been feeding on them like the method balls so they'll initially move away as they drop through the water. This way I wont spook them, plus, the method and lines will also be settled on the bottom by the time the carp swim back into the area.

I often prefer to use a balanced hook bait on my method rig as it will fly into a carp's mouth much easier. Remember, a method mix contains small, light particles and crumbs, therefore, carp may not need to suck hard at the bait when they disturb the method ball. I want to give the hook bait every chance to enter the mouth, and a light, buoyant bait will fly into its mouth even under the slightest suction pressure.

The Different Types of Method Mixes Available

Method mixes for carp fishing are cheap baits to make up and very versatile, plus, they can help you to catch more carp if the correct mix is used to suit the fishing situation. There are numerous types of powdered mixes available with varying flavours, colours, attractants, and coarseness to suit different fishing styles.

There are different powder method mixes which will suit different situations. For instance, if you require a mix that will allow you to cast further distances, then you'll need a very fine powder that sticks well to the method feeder. This is where you'll want to use fine bread crumb, along with a 50/50 boilie base mix. Using a boilie base mix can also be a great idea because they include all the nutrients and attractants. I would also use juice from cooked particle when adding liquid as this contains sugars that make the mix sticky. A sticky method mix helps it to hold onto the method for longer periods in the water so it disguises the feeder inside from the fish.

If you wanted a coarse mix that will break down quickly, then you can use scalded pellets, and add more oils so it's less sticky. Although, make sure the pellets are not high oil first, as adding even more oil may spoil the attraction of the method mix.

The best thing about using the method to catch carp is you can change the mix at any time to create a unique smell to attract carp, or if they seem to wise up to the first mix. I do this by adding different ingredients like:

  • Fish oils
  • Crushed hemp
  • Spices
  • Tuna in oil
  • Vitalin
  • Groats
  • Tinned fruits
  • Cat food
  • Powdered milk - great for causing a bright cloud!
  • Liver powder
  • Cocoa powder
  • Fruit juices
  • Molasses
  • Maggots or casters

Method rig types

I like to use hooklinks about 5-7 inches long. However, I will experiment with shorter or longer lengths if I struggle to get any takes. I mostly use supple braid for many links, and I feel a supple type is best as it can be sucked into the mouth easily. I have used a stiff type of link and caught on them, but I feel the stiffness could hinder the hook turning, and thus affect the hooking potential of the rig when it enters the mouth.

I prefer to use smallish hooks with small, or cut down boilies, or preferably small particle items that are present in the method mix. This means the carp wont think anything suspicious rather than if it seen a big, bright boilie that is totally different to all the method mix particles. Although, I never rule out using this method tactic as it can work in some angling situations.

Emotionally Abusive Relationships - Common Behaviors and Tactics Abusers Use

There is currently not a single, clear-cut definition of emotional abuse. Emotional abuse is instead defined by a set or combination of traits, acts or behaviors that are designed to control and dominate another human being through the use of fear, guilt, intimidation, humiliation or manipulation.

It is important to remember that a single incident does not constitute abuse. Abuse is a pattern of behavior that occurs over time. It is repetitive, sustained and usually progressive.

Tactics

Emotional abuse is silent, insidious and extremely dangerous to the victim. It slowly and systematically wears away at the victim's soul. It erodes self-worth, confidence, trust, faith and the ability to have confidence in one's own perceptions.

Emotional abuse is also harmful to a person's physical health. Typically people in abusive relationships don't eat or sleep properly and can suffer from stress-related conditions such as chronic fatigue, anxiety attacks, depression, high blood pressure, peptic ulcers, poor immune function, migraines, alcoholism and smoking-related respiratory aliments.

Here is an extensive list with brief notes about common behaviors and tactics abusers use to control and manipulate his/her partner. It is important to understand that you don't have to experience ALL of these to be abused. ANY of these behaviors, either alone or in combination, which are part of a "repeated pattern", are abusive!

> Extreme jealousy: not only of other men/women but of friends, family, work and even children
> Isolation: keeping you from family, friends and other sources of emotional support
> Emotional withholding: will not share his/her feelings and is not aware, receptive or sensitive to yours, the silent treatment
> Lack of intimacy: doesn't hold your hand or cuddle
> Verbal abuse: insults, yelling, name-calling, shame, sarcasm, or threats
> Humiliation: public criticism, reminding you of embarrassing moments
> Threats: verbal threats such as "you will be sorry", physical threats such as throwing or breaking things > Lies: including withholding information, telling half-truths or rearranging the facts
> Mixed messages: tell you he/she loves you, but treats you badly
> Dependence: threats of loss of financial security, or tries to convince you that you are no good without him, nobody else will want you
> Fear: an unspoken understanding that there will be bad consequences if you don't do what he/she wants > Raging: yelling, screaming, punching walls, breaking things
> Sexual coercion: using guilt, shame, physical force or drugs in order to have sexual relations
> Blame: says it's your fault when he/she mistreats you, says you are responsible for how he/she feels
>Secret-keeping: acts differently in public than in private
>Spiritual abuse: using religious teachings to justify demands for submission or conformity.
>Physical violence: slapping, punching, kicking, grabbing, pinching, pushing, biting, choking

Large-Mouth Bass Tactics - Best Lures For Memorable Fishing

How Large-mouth Bass Tactics Can Improve Your Catch

Large-mouth Bass Tactics consists of arsenal of different lures, tackle and approaches depending on many factors that may affect your fishing. Mid to late spring bass can be caught with plastic worms, jigs, spinner-baits, crank-baits, and top-water lures. Bass seek the comfort of cooler, deep water in late spring, summer, and early fall, and plastic worms are probably more effective than all other lures combined, at these times.Options include minnows, or crayfish as well as small spinners and a wide variety of small surface lures. Even anglers most often fish for large-mouth bass with lures such as plastic worms (and other plastic baits), crank-baits and spinner-baits, jigs are known as one of the best bass lures for catching those big bass.

Tactics

Tackle for fishing with lures could include a 5-1/2' to 7 ' spinning or bait-casting rod and reel with 6 to 12 pound mono-filament. Fly fishing tackle could include a 9' to 11' bass fly rod with fast taper fitted with a fly reel fitted with a #7 to #9 floating line and a 6 to

8 pound leader.

To get a reflex strike you need one of two types of lures: either a crank bait or a spinner-bait. In fact, while many people think that it takes big lures to catch big fish, I caught 12 bass in excess of 10 pounds on small spinner one summer. When it comes to top water lures they are effective in the "salad", areas of heavy vegetation, and can produce some explosive strikes.Large-mouth bass are cover-oriented fish. Although you might catch the occasional one out in the open, you will catch many more if you focus on structure.Catching this fish with live bait can be extremely effective but as you may know if you've fished for large-mouth bass, they're tough to catch because they not always easily fooled.

The Large-mouth Bass is the most popular game-fish in the United States. It's usually spawning between mid-April and mid-June. The widespread distribution of that magnificent species translates into fishing opportunities for anglers all across the N. America. The reason for their popularity is that large-mouth bass are aggressive and intense, and fishing for them is truly thrilling. So Large-mouth Bass Tactics have to be adapted to different water conditions: time of the year, weather, vegetation, water temperature etc.

6-a-Side Football Tactics

While most 6-a-side football games are generally won by the team with the highest fitness levels (because they can chase the ball more and track back into defense a lot quicker) and the team with the best football skills (since they can dribble round opponents better and pass the ball more sharply), tactics can play a huge part in determining the outcome. Improving your tactics is one of the best ways to upset the odds, and is the best way to improve your chances of winning if you're the clear underdogs.

In a game where both teams' ability is identical, the more tactically astute team will always win. That being said, it is no good simply knowing about tactics if you can't (and don't know how to) implement them.

Tactics

Since you are only playing with 5 men (plus one goalie), the best tactics that I have found (through several years of playing 6-a-side football) are to play a 2-1-2 formation. That means that you have 2 men in defence (that rarely, if ever stray from their positions), 1 man in midfield (who links the play whilst providing support for the attack and cover for the defence) and 2 strikers up front.

The strikers also play a very important part in defending, since they must 'defend from the front'. This means that whenever the opposing team's backline has the ball they need to putting them under pressure so that they have no time or space to pick a pass to one of their attackers.

River Fishing Tactics

For me there are few things in life as wonderful as standing up to my waste in a flowing river attempting to catch a fish. To me, this is river fishing, and it's as close to heaven that I can get. In this article I'm going to discuss some river fishing tactics that will help you become a much more efficient and successful angler. These tactics nave been proven through more than fifty years of combined river fishing experience, and will help you as soon as you implement them

When it comes to river fishing, the first tactic I'm going to discuss is to make sure that you're on the water at the proper times. The proper time to be on the water is simpler than you might imagine. It has to do with two forces of Mother Nature, specifically the weather and moon. That's right these two factors, the weather and moon, have as much to do with you catching fish as the type of bait/lure you use.

Tactics

In order to nail down this river fishing tactic, making sure that you're on the water at the best times, you need to pay attention to the weather and moon. Using this information to your advantage is a great river fishing tactic. It's not necessary to become a scholar on the subjects either. You can learn what you need to know by doing a little research (which as we all know is free on the internet).

The next river fishing tactic is to always present your bait in a natural manner. In most instances, especially with live worms, this means using gang hooks. I always have gang hooks with me while river fishing and you should as well. You see, gang hooks are simply a pair of small hooks tied in tandem, thus enabling live bait to be presented in a totally natural manner. This makes a huge difference in bite rates.

When river fishing it's also important that your bait is always at your fingertips waiting to be used, rather than hidden in your fishing vest somewhere. This is where a bait bag comes into play. A bait bag is simple a small pouch that hangs from your body and holds your bait while river fishing. This way your bait is always at your fingertips and baiting up takes seconds, rather than minutes. This means you get more time with your line in the water (where the fish are), rather than out of the water. Employing a bait bag is a great river fishing tactic.

Start employing these simple (yet incredibly effective) river fishing tactics sooner, rather than later, and you'll become a much more successful angler. How am I so sure of this? Because I've personally been using these tactics for more than 20 years and know how effective they are. And if I'm lying, what the worst that could happen? You'll catch the same amount of fish that you normally catch and you wasted 2 minutes reading this article? That's the worst that could happen.

Tactic Number Two - "Challenge". If she is not responding well to your advances, just challenge her and tell her that she bores you. She will instantly try to make herself interesting since it will look like it's all her fault that there is no rapport between you and her.

(Super Dirty) Tactic Number Three - "Fractionation". If you cannot make a girl like you the naturally way, why don't just hypnotize her? I have personally seen a fat, ugly and balding man make a move on a 19 year old bombshell using this hypnosis technique called 'fractionation' and completely score with her.

What to Do If the Girl Ignores You - And How You Can Force Her to Like You Using Dirty Tactics

But before you use this technique, you must heed this warning...

Fractionation is considered as a 'dark art' tactic which is the basis of hypnosis-based seduction, and while controversial, it is known to be one of the most effective tactics ever invented by underground seductionists.

It is described in a step-by-step system in the Deadly Seduction Manuscript (http://www.DeadlySeduction.com).

These psychology tactics are highly unconventional techniques that are used by the secret elite in the seduction community. Use at your own risk. I personally vouch for the effectiveness of these tactics, but care must be taken as they could be outright dangerous in the hands of the unscrupulous.

Volleyball Tactics - How to Position the Players

In every sport positioning the players correctly often holds the key to winning or losing - soccer, baseball, football or volleyball. To appropriately put the right strength in use is very important in games today that survive on strategizing. What is the strength of a certain player? What is the ideal position for him or her? The answers to these questions decide the whole strategy of games like volleyball where player positions are extremely important.

Let's now look at some of the pointers on how to decide on player positions in a volleyball field.

Tactics

o Tall players should ideally stay in the front. They will stay close to the net, receive the ball well and spike it to the opponent's court. It is easier for taller people to spike the ball better to the ground.

o Building up a strong line of defense and offense is equally important. You need both attackers and blockers placed strategically.

o Setters are the backbone of offense. They will be positioned such that they can receive the ball well and place it strategically within their court for a player to receive it and send it across the net. If the setter places the ball rightly to the right person then the receiver can aim the ball well while sending it off to the opponent's court.

o Liberos will be positioned such that they can attack the ball right away once it is served.

o Hitters are placed at the middle of the court or along the borders. When set by setter, the hitters reach the ball quickly and hit it across the court. Hitters can be good spikers too.

Next is the formation. So you know who goes where but now you need to decide how those positions are placed in the court. One of the popular arrangements are the six two formation where six attackers are set in the middle of the court and near the net. Of them two would work as setters and the other four as plain hitters. You can also have a five one formation where only one setter is positioned are the rest play as attackers. This formation can be changed within the course of a game based on the outcome. A game of volleyball is extremely dynamic and one will need to think on their feet to have success in this game. Remember keeping your position and performing your task is equally important in this game.

Once the positions and formations are decided, then that should be clearly conveyed to the team as confusion often leads to wastage of time and bad playing. Also it is important that the team captain keeps an eye on the players and whether they are holding on to their correct positions or not. It will also be the captain's duty to communicate with the coach or the manager and then with the team members on changes in strategy and positions during the course of the play. The captain's position brings along with it power and as famously said with power comes responsibility.

Spring Trout Fishing Tactics

When it comes to fishing for trout in the spring of the year everyone seems to be looking for that one thing that will give them "a leg up" over other fishermen. That one special bait or lure that will help them catch trout, when everyone else seems to be having a difficult time. Well, I have been fishing for trout for more than two decades and have found that more than the trout bait or lure that you are using, the tactic that you employ seems to make the most difference when it comes to experiencing springtime trout fishing success.

Below I will outline a few springtime trout tactics that should be employed by anyone who wants to experience more success when fishing for trout this spring. The spring of the year offers some unique challenges that fishermen don't necessarily have to deal with during other fishing seasons and those challenges would include competition (fishing pressure), high water conditions, and muddy water conditions. The good thing is that every one of the challenges can be overcome by employing the one or more of the trout tactics being outlined below.

  1. Use A Longer Fishing Rod - This springtime trout tactics is most prevalent when fishing for trout in rivers that are running higher than they normally do. You see, if you use a longer fishing rod than you normally would, being able to "feel" what is happening with your bait or trout fishing lure is much easier. For example, rather than using a standard five foot ultralight fishing rod (which under 'normal' water conditions is ideal for trout fishing) use a seven to seven and a half-foot ultralight rod instead. Although often overlooked, this simple springtime trout tactic will make you a much more successful springtime trout angler.

  2. Drifting "Mealies" - Meal worms are often thought of as an effective trout bait for ice fishing, but get forgotten as soon as the weather begins to warm up. Drift fishing with small hooks that are baited with "mealies" (meal worms) might be the most effective of the spring trout tactics being discussed in this article. A meal worm can be threaded onto a #8 or #10 fishing hook, in much the same way a jig body is threaded onto a jig head, results in an extremely realistic presentation that hungry spring trout find hard to resist.

  3. Micro Jigs - Another often overlooked trout bait are micro jigs, which means a jig that is from 1/100 to 1/32 of an ounce. These teeny jigs can be fished in lakes or rivers and are like little pieces of candy to hungry springtime trout. If you are going to fish micro jigs without the help of a slip bobber (which adds weight to the rig making casting these tiny jigs much easier) make sure that you are using long fishing rod and very light fishing line. Most experienced micro jig fishermen advise using two-pound test line when fishing micro jigs without the help of a slip bobber. In muddy water conditions, use a jig that has a white head and brightly colored body. This will mean that the jig is much more visible to hungry trout.

Tactics

The bottom line is that the aforementioned spring trout tactics are all extremely effective and should be a part of every serious trout fisherman's fishing arsenal. If any of them aren't a part of yours, they should be added sooner, rather than later.

Organizational Culture Tactics For Tackling Negative Co-Workers

Negative co workers can make working in an organization a difficult thing. Even when you are positive in your approach, a negative environment and negative co workers can make working with them really cumbersome. Organizational culture in any business model promotes a positive attitude among the employees of the organization. When you are dealing with negative co workers, they are certain things that you must do for yourself as well as for others around you.

  • Be approachable

Tactics

When you find yourself surrounded by negative co workers, organizational culture demands that you maintain your positive attitude while being approachable to others. When you acknowledge negativity in others and encourage them to turn positive in their thoughts, it will make a big difference to people's habits. Approaching negative people with a positive attitude will also contribute to reducing negativity.

  • Be patient

As a positive person, you need to be patient to be able to deal with co workers who have a negative approach to everything. Listen to the ideas and suggestions of your colleagues and give them your time and a patient hearing. Discuss things as gently as possible and you will find your listeners in receptive mood. When you show interest in a person and his ideas, you find them less rigid. Any pretense they might hold up will be given up gradually over a period of time.

  • Focus on what is positive

Not everyone is completely negative. There is always a good thing about anyone who works with you. If you are a positive person, you need to focus on what is positive in the person you are dealing with. By remaining focused on the positive attitudes of co workers, you tend to keep away negativity. Organizational culture is all about getting the best out of people in a positive manner.

5 Survival Tactics for When Everything Goes Wrong

You know the type of week.

* You've worked hard and are gearing up to
launch a new product when a vendor calls and
says that he can't get the new website up on
deadline which is "okay" because the graphic
artist's computer crashed and your product
picture isn't ready anyway. They'll get back to
you.

Tactics

* Taxes are due for those who got extensions
and, in some previous insanity, you agreed to do
them for friends and family. But you still need
information and the tax deadline looms.

* Your hubby needs reading classes but you
can't find the credit card which will give you the
big discount. It's gotta be around
somewhere.

* Your sister wants to borrow your AAA card - it
must be with the missing credit card.

* Your business phone line stops working and
the telephone company insists the problem is in
the home and they can't get to you for a
week.

* It hasn't rained for weeks and yet the dog is
covered in mud and lying on the couch.

* Your largest client calls on a Friday afternoon
and requests the impossible. This was preceded
by your smallest client calling and demanding
that you drop everything as her every need is
*urgent*.

* The bathroom toilet stops working and then
starts leaking and your plumber is on
vacation.

What do you do when it all goes wrong?

1. Laugh.

Laugh hard and laugh often. Laugh like there's
no tomorrow - given the above, there may not
be.

Seriously though. . .laughter will put you in a
much better frame of mind to deal with life's
interruptions without losing your sanity.

2. Breathe.

If laughter isn't possible, and sometimes it just
isn't, then focus on your breathing. Breathe in
and out, in and out as deeply as possible until
your pulse stops racing or you let go of the
throat that somehow found its way into your
grasp.

3. Regroup.

When the walls are caving in around you, take
five minutes and figure out what you can do to
keep at least one thing moving forward.

Follow-up on the email that may land you a new
client. Submit your article to the various article
submission sites. Pay a couple of bills. Do one
thing, anything so that you can cross something
off your *list*. It's probably best if this
something doesn't involve interaction with
others!

4. Give thanks.

"What? Give thanks? Are you insane?"

I can hear the grumbling from here. Do it
anyway! Grab a piece of paper and make a list
of everything that you are thankful for - chances
are, you have it better than millions of
others.

Here's a quick list of things that I know I'm
grateful for: my health, family and friends, my
pets, my business and my clients, sunrises and
sunsets, flowers, chocolate ice cream, the sound
of the ocean and a crisp New England fall
day.

5. Get out.

Get out of the house and out of the office.
Whether you choose to go for a walk, have lunch
with friends, go window shopping (leave credit
cards at home) or browse the shelves at your
local library, get out and enjoy yourself for a
bit. You'll return in a much refreshed frame of
mind and ready to tackle whatever life throws
your way.

Let's be real. Sometimes problems are just
problems and not "opportunities". Sometimes
lemons make bad lemonade. And not all clouds
have a silver lining. When everything goes
wrong, try one (or all) of the above techniques,
accept it and move on knowing that things
will get better!

Marketing Mix - Top 4 Promotion Mix Tactics

Marketing mix is part of your marketing plan. It defines product, place, price and promotion. The promotion mix targets raising product or brand awareness, communicating the unique value proposition of your product and gaining acceptance of your products. The primary purpose and focus of promotional mix is to get the desired result: the sale of your product. There are more than seven common promotion mix tactics and while most businesses do not use all of these tactics to promote and sell their products, they do use a mix of these tactics.

The Top 4 Promotion Mix Tactics:

Tactics

  1. Personal selling is one of the most common of the promotion tactics. Most companies will hire people to do the selling: sales representatives, account managers, inside sales representatives, retail sales, sales agents, or telemarketers. Face-to-face selling is one of the most common methods of selling, although sales by phone, and more recently, sales by email, are becoming well used. These are not necessarily as effective, but they are low cost sales tactics.
  2. Advertising is another common promotion tactic. Advertising focuses on brand recognition and identity; not on the product alone. Advertising can be a costly tactic that only the big businesses can invest in; particularly advertising on television which can cost anywhere from 0,000 to over million for a national broadcast in prime time (for a 30-second spot!). This cost is in addition to the cost of producing the commercial. Advertising in industry or consumer magazines is less expensive and typically you can target your advertisement to a specific industry or region. Other advertising can include car or bus 'wraps', events (such as sports, music, art), and billboards. The Internet is becoming a very popular place to advertise, and on a relative basis, it is more affordable.
  3. In the retail marketplace, consumer promotion is very common. Buy one, get one free. Coupons for discounted or free product. Free trial packages. Cash discounts or refunds. Contests that give back cash, prizes, or products. The commitment by marketers to consumer promotion is that this form of promotion can be designed to be very measurable. Coupons, contests, and packaging can be coded to report redemptions and to report sales increases and/or decreases related to consumer promotion. Additionally, packaging new products as a trial, with a mature or declining product, can often provide an opportunity to up-sell and extend the declining product's life-cycle.
  4. Public relations (PR) is another common promotion tactic. Public relations includes writing and distributing press releases (to the local newspaper, the national newspapers, to online PR sites, to radio and television, to magazines, and more). The key for effective PR is to identify and understand your target audience, the key message or messages you want to deliver, the credibility of your organization, and the recognition that PR is not a sales tactic but an identity (whether corporate, brand or product) building tactic.

The most effective promotional program is usually one that uses a variety of tactics and techniques. It is important to measure the effectiveness of the program you engage in, and adjust your promotional program to increase effectiveness and outcome (sales).

MW3 Strategies And Tactics - Learn From The Best

The tactics and strategies used in Modern Warfare 3 have changed a great deal since the last game. Now, it is up to you to learn and figure out the best possible striking action to take for your specific style of game play. There are certain techniques that can be taught to beginners and advanced players alike, so sit back and enjoy these free strategy tips I am about to unleash upon you.

As I was saying, and as you probably already know, COD MW3 has changed quite a bit since the last version of the game. For example, instead of having kill streaks, you now have what is called strike chains. This changes the game in a few important ways and that is one of the things we will be discussing in this article. Also, the weapons have changed, and now you will be able to level your weapons, unlocking weapon proficiencies as you go, allowing you to become more effective and powerful the more you play the game. Lets discuss these two topics in a little more detail to help you understand their importance a bit better.

Tactics

Most people who start playing Modern Warfare 3 pick the assault class as their character, because the think they are just going to run around and "pray and spray" everyone, racking up the kills and points they desire and it's as easy as that right? Wrong! Now with the new implementation of strike chains a better way to rack up points is to use the support class and provide covering fire for your teammates. If you still desire to be a lone wolf however, the best class for you to pick would be a specialist, this class will allow you to run around with your guns blazing and you will rack up more points than just being the basic assault class, not that the assault class is not useful, but if you"re looking to rack up points there are better ways to do it and that is what I am letting you know.

Another great strategy for MW3 is to get your hands on the best weapons available to your class and rack up the kills leveling your weapon skills and unlocking the awesome weapon proficiencies that make all of the difference in the world when you are trying to rack up a bunch of kills and dramatically increase your kill/death ratio.

One of the best little bits of tactical advice I can give you is to get yourself a decent strategy guide. There are guides out there that provide you with all kinds of secrets, tactics, strategies and tips that 90% of other players know nothing about. This will give you a huge advantage and leap in skill. You will discover that you are quickly ranking up there with the pros using the specific tactics laid out for you in a clear and concise manner. There are all kinds of guides out there to choose from. Everything from the very basic class leveling guide to the complete guide that walks you through every aspect of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 with HD videos and everything, showing you all of the best places to hide and slaughter tons of enemies as well as how to navigate all of the maps while remaining undetected.

Negotiation - Tactics, Tricks And Threats

Most successful negotiators recognise that the way people involved in negotiations behave does not always reflect their true feelings or intentions. We are going to look at negotiating tactics that may be used by you or on you. Whether or not you choose to use these tactics, it is vital to understand:

o Tactics work

Tactics

o They can be being used on you, and can be used by you

o Once they are recognised as tactics, their effects are reduced, or eliminated

You may feel that there is no need in your particular case to negotiate or resort to tactics. in negotiation. This is a matter of personal choice.

In general, tactics are used to gain a short-term advantage during the negotiation and are designed to lower your expectations of reaching a successful conclusion.

There are many tactics available to negotiators. Here are some you may recognise.

Pre-Conditioning:

This can begin before you even get together, or start your negotiations with the other party. Let us take a sales example:

You telephone for the appointment and the other side says, aggressively:

"Don't bother coming if you are going to tell me about price increases. You'll be wasting your time and I will be forced to speak to your competitors".

When you do arrive you are kept waiting in reception for half an hour, without being told why. As you walk through the door into the other person's office they indicate for you to sit down, but they don't look up. Instead, they sit leafing through your competitor's brochure, in silence, ignoring your efforts to make conversation.

You are given an uncomfortable low chair to sit in that happens to be directly in line with the sun shining into the office. At this stage, how confident do you feel?

The Monkey On The Back:

Some negotiators have the irritating habit of handing their problems to you so that they become your problems. This is the "monkey on their back" that they want you to carry around for them.

A classic example is the person who says, "I have only got £10,000 in my budget".

This is often used tactically to force a price reduction. Here is what you can do.

When one side says "I have only £10,000 in budget", look concerned and say something like:

"That is a problem. As you are no doubt aware, the cost of our systems can be anything up to £20,000 and I really want to help you choose the best system that meets your needs. Does that mean that if one of our systems has everything you are looking for, but costs £20,000, you would rather I didn't show it to you?"

The "monkey" has been returned and they have to make a choice. If the objection is genuine and the budget figure is correct, you must try to look for an alternative that meets your needs as well as theirs.

If they genuinely can only spend £10,000 that is not a tactic but the truth. In dealing with tactics the first decision you must make is whether it is a tactic or a genuine situation. If it is genuine, you have a problem to solve, rather than a tactic to overcome.

The Use Of Higher Authority:

This can be a most effective way to reduce pressure in the negotiation by introducing an unseen third party and can also be effective in bringing the negotiation to a close.

"I need to have this agreed by my Board of Directors." "If they agree to the terms we have discussed, do we have a deal?"

However, be careful to use this device sparingly so that the other side does not begin to feel you have no decision making authority yourself.

One way of countering this tactic is to say before the bargaining begins: "If this proposal meets your needs, is there any reason you would not give me your decision today?"

If the other side still wishes to resort to higher authority, appeal to their ego by saying: "Of course, they will go along with your recommendations, won't they? Will you be recommending this proposal?"

Nibbling:

Negotiations can be a tiring process. As the point draws near when an agreement is likely, both sides exhibit a psychological need to reach agreement and get on with something else.

You are very vulnerable as the other side reaches for their pen to sign the order form or contract, to concede items that don't significantly affect the final outcome. "Oh, by the way, this does include free delivery, doesn't it?" or "Oh, by the way, the price of the car does include a full tank of petrol?"

Nibbles work best when they are small and asked for at the right psychological moment. Like peanuts, eat enough of them and they get fattening.

Good negotiators will often keep back certain items on their want list until the very last minute when the other party is vulnerable. Watch out for this.

The Good Guy And The Bad Guy:

You may have come across this tactic before or else seen it used in films or on television. This is a tactic designed to soften you up in the negotiation.

For example, you are negotiating the renewal of your service contract with the Buying Director and his Finance Director. You present your proposal and the Buying Director suddenly gets angry and walks out in disgust muttering to himself about how unfair you have been and how the relationship is well and truly over.

You pick up your briefcase and are being shown the door when the Finance Director smiles at you sympathetically and says:

"I'm terribly sorry about that. He is under a lot of pressure. I would like to help you renew your contract, but he really will not consider the price you have suggested. Why don't I go and talk to him for you and see if we can agree a compromise? What is the bottom line on the contract? If you give me your very best price, I will see what I can do".

The best way of dealing with this tactic is to recognise the game that is being played and assess exactly what the quality of the relationship is. You may be able to say something like:

"Come off it, you are using good guy, bad guy. You are a superb negotiator, but let's sit down and discuss the proposal realistically".

If you don't have this kind of relationship, stand firm and insist on dealing with the bad guy, or else bluff yourself and give a figure that is within your acceptable range of alternatives.

One way of combining good guy, bad guy. with higher authority is by saying things like:

"Well, I'd love to do a deal with you on that basis, but my manager refuses to let me agree terms of this nature without referring back and he refuses to talk to salespeople. Give me your best price and I will see what I can do"

Body Language:

It is important in negotiation to react verbally and visually when offers are made. You may have seen the more theatrical negotiators hang their heads in despair or accuse you of being unfair and souring a perfectly good relationship when you present your proposal. Human nature is such that we can believe and accept these outbursts against us and our negotiating position becomes weaker as a result.

Ensure the next time you are in a negotiation that you react to the other party's offer. If you show no reaction, they may be tempted to ask for more and more and you will lose the initiative in the negotiation. Also, it is almost certain that their opening offer is higher than the figure for which they are prepared to settle, so it is important that you clearly signal your unwillingness to accept the opening position.

If you reach the point below which you will not go, it is important that you show this with your body language. News readers, when they have finished reading the news, have a habit of picking up their script and tidying up their papers. This tells the world that they have finished their task and are preparing to leave.

Similarly, when you make your final offer, it can be very powerful to collect your papers together and indicate with your body that it really is your final offer. Put your pen away, sit back in your chair and remain silent. Look concerned and keep quiet.

If your voice says final offer but your body is saying let's keep talking, the other party will disregard what you say and keep negotiating.

The Use Of Silence:

During the negotiation, you may make a proposal and find the other party remains silent. This can be very difficult to handle and often signals disapproval to the inexperienced negotiator. Just as nature abhors a vacuum, so silence induces the need in people to talk.

If you have a proposal to make, make it and ask the other side how he or she feels about it. Having asked the question, sit back and wait for the answer. Whatever you do; don't change your offer as this could seriously weaken your position.

The Vice:

A common technique used by negotiators when presented with a proposal is to say:

"You'll have to do better than that."

The most powerful way of dealing with this is to ask them to be more specific. Whatever you do, don't weaken your negotiating position in response to the vice by giving anything away, too easily. This will only encourage repeat behaviour.

The Power Of Legitimacy:

People believe what they see in writing. We all assume that if a thing is printed or written down, it is non-negotiable. This is what can make price lists so powerful. If you have to present a customer with a price increase or you wish to encourage an early order to beat a price increase, show something in writing such as an office memo from your boss announcing the increase. This will have a far greater impact than just saying your prices are about to go up.

When presented with a price tag in a shop, ask to speak to the manager and make him an offer. You could be surprised at the results.

And Finally -The Low Key Approach:

Don't appear too enthusiastic during negotiations. Over-enthusiasm can encourage skilled negotiators to review their strategy and demand more.

If you are in a negotiation and the other side is not responding to your proposal, recognise this could be a tactic and avoid giving concessions just to cheer them up. Salespeople like to be liked and will often give money away in a negotiation, if the other side appears unhappy.

For example, if you are buying a car avoid saying to the seller things like:

"This is exactly what I'm looking for. I really like the alloy wheels".

Develop a low-key approach. Say things like:

"Well, it may not be exactly what I'm looking for but I might be interested if the price is right".

Key Account Management - 7 Tactics to Build Into Your Sales Program

Not all customers are created equal ... in the volume that they buy from you or the profitability that they bring to you. Some of your customers have key significance to your business. They may be your largest customer, or your highest profit customer, or your must significant national (or international) account.

Do you practice key account management strategies in your business? If you don't, you probably should. Key account management is used in business to business sales relationships. Do you know what key account strategies are; and why and how you should you manage them?

Tactics

Key account management focuses your business on those accounts that represent a large percentage of a significant business measure: be it overall sales volume; specific product sales; national account status; profitability; and more. For example, if you sell to a customer who annually buys 18 per cent of your overall volume, that account is likely a key account to your business. If a customer only buys one per cent, or less, of your overall volume, they are still important to your business but that customer is not a key account.

Key accounts have a good deal of power in any relationship with their suppliers. It is up to you to manage that power, and build a relationship that is a balanced partnership.

When you build your sales plan, you will need to add key account strategies. Make sure that the plan includes a worst case scenario; losing one or more of your key accounts and how you will handle that loss. Your business survival depends on your readiness to respond and pro-act, rather than react. Develop a scenario plan and analysis that will help you address a survival outcome.

It is challenging to replace a key account on short, or no, notice (I say this from personal experience). But it is possible. However, rather than losing a key account and having to deal with the consequences, focus your sales strategies and planning on building strong key account programs with strong exit barriers (customers will stay with you for a long time if you build the right program). Let me be painfully clear: it is better to keep your key accounts and grow them, than it is to lose one or more key accounts.

Key account management builds a focus on the overall value the customer or account brings. It is important to recognize it is not only sales volume and profit that is important, but the geographical closeness (if your customer is your next door neighbor it is easier to build a strong relationship); the long-term volume and relationship growth potential; the simplicity, or complexity, of providing a service; are all equally important (and in some circumstances, one value will be more important than another).

7 Key Account Tactics To Build Into Your Sales Program:

  1. Set up a single point of contact for the key account: the key account manager. Dedicate internal staff to support the key account; e.g. the customer service representative; or shipper, or scheduler; or inventory manager; or whatever is required and have that staff report to the key account manager.
  2. Volume discounts or rebates, or other price incentives: this is the standard - everyone does it; everyone expects it.
  3. Build a priority ordering program for your key account(s), such as restricted access to your online order system.
  4. Customize your product or service for the key account (for example, private labeling, or actual features of the product or service changed/customized for the key account).
  5. Match your sales relationship with key account. For example, if the key account sells by the piece, carton, or whatever, your system should allow the same units of sale (multiplied if necessary).
  6. Set up cross-business teams and initiatives to improve service, such as product development teams, quality improvement teams, branding efforts, etc.
  7. Provide integrated delivery, fulfillment, re-order points, inventory, and invoicing.

Other than the tangible price value, the benefits your customer will receive from a key account program are less tangible: a highly customized, service-supported product or service.

Key account programs can also improve organizational efficiency; for example, improved sales efficiency, streamlined processes, focused communications, optimized order scheduling and inventory management, and a targeted sales plan (that might even include a global account management program) - there are efficiencies to be gained in this relationship. Business owners are challenged not to 'give back' those efficiencies in price reductions. The goal of key account management must be to not only keep the account but also to earn a reasonable profit from the account.

Key account management strategies are used in a business-to-business-selling environment rather than in a more-individual business-to-consumer-selling environment. Meeting your key customers' needs must be a driving force of your business. Build strong exit barriers (such as integrated inventory and re-ordering systems) so that your key accounts find it hard to leave.

Many business owners fear the key account relationship; they are afraid of the 'big stick' that the key account wields. But by building a strong key account management program that benefits both your customer and your business, there is nothing to fear - your key account will not want to leave (and take their business) because they will lose too much perceived, and real, value.

Fight Back Passive Aggressive Actions With 5 Guerrilla Tactics!

Is very easy to discover the inherent pain that a relationship based on passive aggression brings. It is important that you identify exactly the behaviors that trigger your confusion, isolation or anger, and ascribe them to his peculiar way of doing life in general. You are not responsible for his attitude, learned in his childhood.

A passive aggressive intimate connection is a sad paradox. It is as if, in the middle of our constant search for love, companionship and support, we humans encountered a huge blockage that says: "I will pervert and block all your steps towards reaching love, in such a way that it will be impossible to discover who did it and how it was done...all the way I'm professing my love and devotion for you."

Tactics

This is the challenge presented by the passive aggressive person's constant sabotage, which has the objective of deliver a permanent resistance to any deep intimacy, trust and union. You would say, "This is contradicting any search for love...! How can it be that in the middle of this warm relationship building we encounter such a strong resistance that the same love gets destroyed?"

It's difficult to accept, but some people are so scared of being deeply loved, that they will unconsciously frustrate all steps towards intimacy with passive aggressive behaviors. So, you are warned. And probably you know already the multiple ways in which this passive aggression will rear its ugly face. Perhaps if we review some of them, we can begin to offer an strategy to understand how it happens and so reduce the damage. Let me count the ways...

1.- Behavior always focused on negative aspects of life: The basic attitude here is that life is a miserable experience and there is no joy to be expected, so we are victims of a cruel destiny. In this view, others including you are responsible for the circumstances he is in, and little can be done to change. In order to continue piling up misery and rejection, positive aspects are thoroughly ignored or rejected.

TACTIC NUMBER 1: To counteract the effects of PA behaviors you need to be sure of your own accomplishments, and be proud of them. To keep the mindset of victim hood, your partner will diminish or ignore them, Remind yourself constantly about your good qualities, before it's too late and you begin to accept your partner's misery framing as the mirror with which you perceive yourself. Catch yourself diminishing your merits and tell yourself to Stop! Do some breathing exercises and tell yourself how good you are at what you do.

Keep your good friends around, so they can also remind you of your good qualities.

2) Behavior that induces a constant confusion in your brain The main problem with passive aggressive behavior is how to identify the unhealthy interaction. This is difficult because your mind needs to observe and evaluate the situation while it is simultaneously being confused by a barrage of contradictory messages. He'll say his actions stem from good intentions and the want to provide support, while at the same time he abandons any commitment at the least opportunity. Moreover, he is always going to rationalize his hurtful behavior, producing more confusion in your brain.

TACTIC NUMBER 2: Accept confusion and emotional pain as indicators of being in a relationship with a passive aggressive (PA) person. Another kind of person would make you feel totally different; the truth now is that another person is confusing and manipulating you! DO take your confusion seriously: go for a walk; do something alone; write in your diary; learn breathing exercises to calm your brain and heart; watch a positive romantic movie in TV; anything that fills you with mind clarity and peace is welcome!

3) Sabotaging your best projects: If you show enthusiasm and excitement for some personal project, it is sure that you will receive negative opinion, criticism and put down comments. Because your partner will perceive your projects as threatening the amount of attention now allocated to him, she/he will sabotage them.

TACTIC NUMBER 3: Don't expect or want anything important, fundamental, or vital from a PA partner, at least at the beginning. The more detached you can be from the final outcome of any shared intimacy, the more protected you become from manipulations that will eventually disappoint you. So, you need to present your heart's desires in a way that is detached from the emotions they produce in you. If you show enthusiasm and high expectations, any project will be nipped in the bud. If you can present the most fabulous ideas with a blank face, then you'll likely to get what you want. Learn to control any visible emotional connection or desire, while you move ahead with your projects simultaneously.

4) Giving you the "Silent Treatment" Maintenance of aloof silence toward another as an expression of one's anger or disapproval: a deliberate discourteous act. Are you getting the cold shoulder, but you don't know why? Is someone who's normally eager to speak to you now keeping your conversations to the bare minimum? This can be hurtful, frustrating, and confusing.

TACTIC NUMBER 4:   Asserting Yourself in light of the silent treatment. If you remember that he uses this way of controlling you, without a clear reason that would justify his detachment, then you can be safer. Think again that this reaction is his choice, that he could behave in a different way, and that this behavior is not revealing or confirming anything about your value as a person. You are not responsible for his behavior, he is deciding to be cold and distant and controlling. Again, detaching yourself, having your own projects and friends, can help you protect your core from the isolation forced unjustly on you. When you feel stronger, perhaps you would try to confront him explaining the impact that this behavior has on you, and on the future of the relationship.

5) Always "not being completely there" In a time of need, the PA person will always be, as the saying goes: "an hour late, a dollar short, or a block away." He backs off at the right moment, doing nothing when something is expected from him. He hides behind a curtain of good intentions..."I tried to, but..." He "was meaning to go with you to the doctors...but something else came up." He can give you a dozen reasons why he could not do what he promised. The first excuse is that he forgot about the deal. This leaves you confused between believing him, and listening to your hurt feelings.

TACTIC NUMBER 5: Every time you receive this excuse; each time he says that he "forgot", substitute the words: "didn't want to" instead of "forgot." You then can properly realize what is going on, and can move on with your decisions. You put an end to the confusion and paralysis provoked by his mix of good intentions and omissions.

Living with a person who relates in this way can induce pain, confusion and loneliness. Regardless of that, you might be very well looking at his good aspects and trying to make a good effort to develop a stable and long term relationship.

Introduction to Marketing Strategies and Tactics

Marketing strategies and tactics are very important to any business any field. In this series of articles we will take a close look on the different marketing strategies and tactics, how to use them and how to choose between them.

But first we need to talk about the difference between marketing strategies and marketing tactics. strategies are long term plans, over all campaigns to achieve a certain strategic goal. Tactics on the other hand are all about the short term, they are tools you use to achieve short term goals. They are part of your overall marketing strategy.

Tactics

Having a strategy and using tactics is essential. More essential however is having the right ones. Not every plan is a strategy, and not every strategy is right for you. But when you do have the right one, it will help you immensely in your marketing. It will help you make your mind faster, because every marketing decision you choose will be chosen based on one question: will this help my overall strategy?

Tactics are also important. Good tactics can save a poor strategy, at least for a while, but bad tactics will ruin even the best laid marketing strategies. You should look at your marketing tactics as the steps you need to take to accomplish your marketing strategy.

Another important point is that you shouldn't use the marketing strategies and tactics used by your competitors because it is yielding good results for them. What works for them may not work for you. The strategies you adopt should stem from your needs and goals.

In the next articles we will look at the different marketing strategies you can use, then we will talk about marketing tactics and finally we will advise you on how to choose the best strategies and tactics for your business. Stay tuned and check www.doubleurincome.com for updates.
